4x4 UK herby gives formal notice that the Annual General Meeting will be held on January 19th 2009
at the Thinford Inn, Thinford
The meeting will start at 8.00pm
The Agenda for the meeting and any topic to be voted on will be posted either in the notices and or events section of the forum
Promote your website, business, products or services on the 4x4 UK website. Become a club sponsor and have your business promoted as a banner advert on one of the largest and fastest growing off road and 4x4 related website.
If your business is involved with off roading, 4x4 vehicles or accessories your advert will be seen by thousands of off road enthusiasts every day driving targeted traffic to your website.
Your advert will be placed at the top of a particular section of the 4x4 UK website and will remain in that position for one calendar year, we will not rotate ads, your banner ad will be the only one shown on that section of the site.
Club sponsors will also be given free of charge should they wish, their own section in the classified ads portion of the site where they can sell their products and services to club members

As most of you know since about April/May this year we have been beset with problems mainly relating to the amount of traffic the site is now generating and as a result I virtually stopped development of the site just to keep things running but eventually had to resort to switching web hosts. Hopefully we are now back on an even keel, we don't seem to have taken too big a hit in or search engine rankings or listings.
I have started looking at how we further improve the site again, there will soon be a brand new links section to replace the current one offering much better features and facilities.
There are some areas of the site that have been in place for a while that we currently don't use to their full potential, namely the FAQ and News sections and to that end I am looking for volunteers to regularly write and contribute articles for the FAQ section and volunteers to contribute articles to the news section of the site as well.
For those of you considering volunteering to contribute to either the news or the faq sections but are unsure as to whats involved just take a look at the type of articles in there already.
then follow this link
With immediate effect The 4x4 UK Club is asking all of its members to voluntarily refrain from driving Green lanes where they cross agricultural or common land being used by livestock subject to the current animal movement restrictions put in place to contain the latest foot and mouth outbreak.
We will provide further updates as and when the current restrictions are relaxed
Note the movement ban covers cattle, sheep, pigs and other ruminants
The new classifieds section is now on-line
You no longer need to log in separately to use it. All registered forum and club members are automatically logged in when they log in to the forum.
There are a few other improvements too
1)You can upload more than one pic for an ad,
2) ads can be a standard item for sale or auction (ie to highest bidder)
3) you can receive direct payment for items via paypal - please note if using this feature your e-mail address used for the forum MUST match the e-mail address you used to set up your paypal account
4) I have also added a special section to list stolen vehicles.
I have transferred all the existing ads from the old classifieds section. However I am sure some of the items have been sold so if you recently placed an ad in the old classifieds and have subsequently sold the item please check and mark the item as sold
If you are going to the Landrover Spring Adventure at Driffield then why not pop along to our club stand. Anyone is welcome for a chat etc and we have loads of club merchandise available and a few things to keep the kids occupied too
The 4x4 UK Club shop is now up and running and online.
